This low maintenance bush garden was design and constructed by Ocean Road Landscaping.  The design brief was for a natural bush garden to seamlessly blend in with the existing Messmate stringybarks (Eucalyptus obliqua)on site.  This was a tricky planting plan, as the trees suck so much moisture out of the soil although the garden doesn’t show this with the success of the plants. With a large north facing front yard that is set back from the street, this garden allows you to enjoy a slow meander to the front door.  The plants are attractive to butterflies and birds and low on water usage.  This property is situated 500 meters from the Great Otway National Park, so fits well within its environment.
