ORL- Winner of TWO awards
In a very competitive market, landscapers across Victoria present their gardens to be judged on design, installation, construction and finish. Ocean Road Landscaping has won 2 awards at the prestigious Landscape Victoria Award held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne on Saturday 18th October. The first awards for the night was for Anglesea’s Sunnymeade Garden which won “Plants In the Landscape”. Judges comments on the night were as follows:
“WOW! This is an exceptional garden. The plants in this garden are the landscape. The existing trees have been made features in the overall landscape, and new plantings have been done to complement and further highlight the existing trees.
The use of native plants in a structured manner has worked really well, and the retention of an undisturbed strip of indigenous vegetation has been sensitively incorporated into the landscape.
It was also great to see that this was a space that was explored and utilised by the whole family.”
Plants in Landscape Award –Landscape Victoria Judge, Bryan Rankin- Lifetime Member-
The second award is for a Deans Marsh garden for “Feature in Landscape”, for which we designed and installed a water feature that runs under a glass floor in the house.
Judges’ comments are as follows:
“This installation has successfully provided a link across the Landscape via a well thought through design approach that addresses both functional and aesthetic challenges. The result is a feature in the landscape that can be enjoyed from different vantage points within the home.”
